6ix Photo Diary

So if you’ve been following me on snapchat (caamillexo), your timeline would have been filled with daily snaps from my recent trip to the 6ix aka Toronto: home of the Raptors, Toronto International Film Festival and yes, Drake. This post is actually coincidental because the 6ix God himself will be in our city tonight for his Summer Sixteen tour and 1.) I am freaking the hell out 2.) He’s doing a 2 night show and 3.) Well, it’s Drake! Before my blood pressure increases, the 6ix treated me great overall for each day was an adventure. Let’s go down the list of what Camille did shall we?

– indulged in some jerk chicken

– missed Pharrell’s free concert

–  met Kardinal Offishall

– visited an African Drum Store in Dundas

– got a free drumming lesson at the African Drum store in Dundas

– nearly cried inside the OVO Flagship store

– attended a TIFF party

– walked thru an artsy district in a hood I forgot the name of

– attended a free TIFF event hosted by John Legend and American film director, Mark Duplass

– felt like a peasant while walking through Yorkville

– ate ice cream in Yorkville (thank you Nina! <3)

– drank a bottle of wine at Trinity Bellwood Park with Reynold

– listened to Drake the entire week

– fell in love with the dogs as opposed to all the cute Toronto men

– met and hung out with Toronto blogger, Ivy Prosper

– attended the Grand Opening of Nordstrom inside Eaton Centre

– came up with the realization that maybe I should just pack my bags and move to the 6ix

…. If you managed to make it to the bottom of this post, you deserve a medal! The great part about the 6ix is that no matter what day it is, there is always something to do, even if it means hopping on over New York which might the goal for the next visit. I was sad about not seeing Pharrell and hanging out in Little Jamaica but all in all, the 6ix treated ya girl well and S/O to Uncle Rich for the accommodations  Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go mentally prepare myself for tonight’s Drake concert. Enjoy the recap!
