With everyone in the festive spirit this month, for me it’s been taking some time to get used to. And no, this girl has not gone Christmas shopping yet, smh.  For today’s look, I wanted to go a lil bit on the festive side for Christmas is exactly 9 days away. I think the plaid poncho is festive enough for the pattern itself resembles the set of placemats you’d find at Bed Bath & Beyond. You could say that the shoe game was on the festive side thanks to a pair of Nikelab Air Force 1’s in the Maroon colorway and for anyone out there thinking about purchasing those overpriced Céline high top sneakers, look no further! These babies were a Christmas-meets-end-of-the-year gift for myself and I know what you’re thinking: selfish and materialistic! Maybe to you, but 2016 was a rough year in terms of world events, a reality star becoming POTUS, being laid off from my real estate job, coping with a friend’s death, being lied to, and people mistaking my kindness for weakness. If anything, this gift serves as a reminder that even though I fell down a few times or felt like giving up, I got back up and managed to make across the finish line. These cuts and bruises will heal in time but on the bright side, I can walk another mile in a new pair of shoes. I hope you all are doing well and please don’t dwell on negativity for we do have periods where we get bent out of shape. Remember: we may bend, but we do NOT break!
